Idea to retain overlapping Spice licenses and surrender its own
When Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, decided to add Spice to its Idea network, little did he realize that the deal might have more complications than he thought. After Spice buyout, Idea holds two license in Punjab and Karnataka which is why the telecom department has forced Idea to give up one of the two.
