"We give girls full training in security. First, they are told to protect themselves before they can protect other women. The girls are trained in martial arts. Come what may, do not stand down...Women bouncers are needed in clubs with ladies night. We keep an eye on girls...If a girl talks in a friendly manner, that just doesn't mean she will go home with you. These men should be thrown out. Girls as young as 5-6 years old are raped. The argument that 'provocative' clothes are an invitation for rape does not make any sense. Men's thought process needs to change," said Mehrunissa, India's first woman bouncer, when asked what kind of training is given to the women who join her security agency and what makes men feel so entitled when a woman responds.
