Union Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari, in an exclusive conversation with NDTV's Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia, spoke about the now-scrapped electoral bonds. "Every party needs money to fight elections. If you bring the economy to number 1, then you will be financed at number 1 through bonds, this was the motive behind this scheme. What's wrong with that? I won't comment on the Supreme Court order. If you don't allow bonds, people will get money through corrupt means," he said.
