IMD Alert: West Coast On High Alert, Heavy Rain Expected In Multiple States
IMD scientist Soma Sen briefed on the current Monsoon conditions in the country. Soma Sen said, "Extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra, and coastal Karnataka today and tomorrow. A 'Red' alert was issued for the whole West Coast for the next 4 days. 'Orange alert for heavy rainfall issued in Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, south Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. A very heavy rainfall alert for the day after tomorrow alert will be issued in Uttarakhand soon. Only light rain is expected in the northeast region."
