The India Metrological Department (IMD) issued predictions regarding rainfall activities for different parts of the country.
Swaths of Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and other parts of North India received rainfall due to cyclonic circulations that formed over the region.
Rain lashed parts of the national capital on Saturday even as the Met department has predicted a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rain with thunder-showers during the day.
The IMD also issued an 'orange' warning of heavy to very heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places for Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh as well as East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, and North East India.
As per the IMD, many parts of the country have already received above-normal rainfall this monsoon season.
