"We are very fortunate that the inauguration of the International Film Festival took place in Kolkata and we were there in person to hear Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. And our honourable Chief Minister was there in person too. There were many important points that were made at the event. It wasn't a political platform but a social platform on which many important statements about civilians' civil liberties were made," said Dr Shashi Panja, Trinamool spokesperson.
