This Diwali, along with the markets, festive shopping has also been hit by the slowdown, especially for those looking forward to buying goods from abroad either online or from travelling relatives. Imported gifts have become dearer this festive season as rupeehas fallen to 49.87 per dollar vis a vis 39.30 last Diwali.
