In Delhi's Patparganj Seat, Garbage, Encroachment Key Issues
Delhi's Patparganj seat - an AAP's Manish Sisodia's stronghold - is one of the key seats in the upcoming assembly elections. Once an agricultural settlement along the Yamuna, rapid urbanisation transformed it into a bustling urban center. However, this development came at a cost-Patparganj is now one of Delhi's pollution hotspots.
Some of the key issues for the constituency include encroachment and garbage. "Garbage is kept all around here...the government should give attention to this area also. Educated people live here too," a resident said. With Manish Sisodia stepping down due to anti-incumbency and legal troubles, the AAP has fielded Avadh Ojha, a motivational speaker and UPSC teacher, to contest the seat.
