The Dravidian arch-rivals in Tamil Nadu are competing to roll out freebies; from Karunanidhi's colour televisions to Jayalalithaa's free mixers and grinders. But, ironically the state is reeling under an eight-hour long power cut and there's no electricity to operate these appliances.
