The COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has brought its own set of challenges for every sector. Farmers have been affected with agricultural produce not reaching the designated markets as the APMC markets in Pune and Mumbai have shut or are running minimal operations. But one group of farmers in Maharashtra's Satara, with help from the chief advisor of Paani Foundation, Dr. Avinash Pol, has turned it into an opportunity and could also bring about the creation of an entire new supply chain if they can successfully scale it up.
