Inadequate laws against child abuse
Incest is still unacknowledged in India even though the country tops the list of incestuous crimes. Those who witness it including mothers are afraid to take any action as it means attacking their own families. Inadequate and outdated laws, lack of child protection officers or financial help for mothers who are dependant on the accused offer little hope to victims of incest. So what can we as a society do to help these little ones?
