India's image has taken a huge beating on a global platform, says HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh. In an exclusive interview to NDTV's Shweta Rajpal Kohli, he says the country is being bypassed as an investment destination and is not on the radar of many multinationals. To attract foreign investment, India needs to provide clarity and transparency in policies. Speaking on recent political developments, Mr Parekh says he admires Rahul Gandhi for the stand he has taken against the ordinance on convicted lawmakers. He further says the ordinance is not in India's interest as no one wants criminals to run the country.
