India, Canada Resume Talks To Reset Ties, Looking To Appoint New Envoys: Reports | India Global

In today's episode of India Global, India and Canada have reportedly resumed communication between their security agencies and are exploring the possibility of appointing new high commissioners, signaling a potential reset in diplomatic relations following the controversy over the 2023 killing of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Discussions between the two countries through diplomatic and security channels resumed around December, after tensions flared in October when India withdrew its high commissioner and five other diplomats, who were named "persons of interest" in the investigation into Nijjar's killing, and expelled an equal number of Canadian diplomats.
