Vice Chairman of RPG Enterprises, Anant Goenka, who is at Davos, said that India is emerging as an exciting location for businesses to set up manufacturing. According to him, India can be an alternative to China.
"I think there are very few bright spots in the world today. The US economy has been doing very well over the last few years. Saudi Arabia and Middle East are doing fairly okay, and the brightest spot of all right now seems like India. With China economy being a little bit in question and the US-China stress that is there, India is emerging as an extremely exciting location for businesses to come set up manufacturing and operations and be an alternative to China. So I think even for us in the group, we are a manufacturing led organisation. And we become a great opportunity for businesses to come in," he said.
