In today's episode of India Global, In a major boost to India's naval firepower, New Delhi has sealed a mega deal worth rs 63,000 crores to acquire 26 Rafale-M fighter jets from France. These state-of-the-art jets are set to rule the skies from the decks of INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya, dramatically enhancing India's maritime muscle in the strategically vital Indian ocean. The Rafale-M, considered one of the most advanced carrier-based fighters in the world, is currently operated only by the French navy. India’s deal includes 22 single-seater Rafale-M and four twin-seat trainers, with deliveries starting in the coming years and wrapping up by 2031. NDTV's Vishnu Som reports.
