But the big story that emerged was that Nirmala Sitharaman was made Defence Minister -- the first woman to hold this portfolio full-time. Indira Gandhi handled the Defence portfolio as Prime Minister nearly three decades ago. Other key changes include Piyush Goel becoming Railway Minister and Suresh Prabhu Commerce Minister.
