When asked if India is a rightful claimant to a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, the Surinamese President said "yes, my country will support India's position on the UN Security Council and that has been expressed already and I have informed PM Modi of the same. India has shown the world that in the area of leadership, it historically has followed the path of peace and dialogue."
