In an exclusive interview with NDTV Profit, India's representative to the IMF, former chief economic adviser to the finance ministry, Arvind Virmani, says India is interested in an emerging markets IMF candidate. He adds that India’s position has been that to improve the global governance and increase the role of IMF, then there is a need to reform quota system to reflect global realities.
