"The way I see it, the global economy is going through a difficult period, and there are many global challenges. And with India taking over the presidency, I think there is a lot of optimism of being able to address several of these challenges that require cooperation across the world... India is a champion of Global south and therefore has a very important role to play in the G20 presidency," IMF's Gita Gopinath said when asked about India's significance of being the G-20 president.
