Under the Supreme Court's orders, there has to be one shelter for 100 homeless people for every one lakh population. Hyderabad with its 56 lakh population should have 56 shelters. But the city, famous across the world as an IT, pharmaceuticals and entertainment hub, does not have a single government night shelter.
