India Matters: Women Make Art
Today contemporary India art is not complete without the contribution of women artists/painters/sculptors/video artists and more. They work in different mediums and are hugely successful in the marketplace. While some engage with the figurative, others have adopted the abstract idiom. While some are comfortable being called women artists, others would prefer to avoid these labels because they believe the language of art has no gender.
