India's capital of Chess, Chennai is hosting the biggest event of the game, the International Chess Olympiad for two weeks from this evening. Around two thousand players, the best from more than 150 countries would be at Mamallapuram. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to five time world chess champion Viswanathan Anand on prospects for India, absence of China the reigning champions, his mentoring, his son Akil's chess, the chess fever in the city and what it would mean to chess and why he chose to skip the Olympiad.
