India's Fertility Rate Touches Its Lowest Ever

India's total fertility rate or the average number of children born to a woman has dropped for the first time to its lowest level and stands at 2, according to the findings of the National Family Health Survey released by the health minister. The survey says the biggest drop is in Chandigarh, while the highest rate is in Uttar Pradesh.
