As the government pegs the FY23 GDP growth at 7.2%, former Chief Economic Advisor and the Executive Director at IMF Krishnamurthy Subramanian said it will be further revised to 8%. He also said there hasn't been another period when India has been such an outlier compared to the global economy. Mr Subramanian said that India was one of the few economies to identify the COVID-19 crisis as a big supply-side shock.
