Tanushree Dutta, the Bollywood actor who had spoken out on how she was sexually harassed has gone to the police with a complaint against actor Nana Patekar. She is absolutely clear and consistent in her charges against the actor; that dance moves were introduced in a 2008 film which were meant to allow Patekar to inappropriately touch her. Tanushree Dutta's lawyer speak to us on the show. Nana Patekar or his lawyers have either not responded or chosen not to be a part of this programme. All this comes as further examples of sexual harassment emerge in Bollywood, all perhaps a worst kept secret. The latest are the allegations against Vikas Bahl, the director of the critically-acclaimed film Queen with even actor Kangana Ranaut publicly stating that his behaviour towards her was not acceptable. On Left, Right and Centre we ask, as #MeToo gains momentum, why are Bollywood stalwarts still silent?
