India's Presidency: Crucial Or Ceremonial?
The process for Presidential elections is a complicated one but it is finally over and Ram Nath Kovind is going to move into the glorious Rashtrapati Bhavan while Pranab Mukherjee will move out as the 13th President. But apart from the politics of who allied with whom during the Presidential elections, what happens now for the next 5 years? Is the President's role really that crucial or is it just more or less a rubberstamp?
