The International Monetary Fund has projected India to be the fastest growing economy. Speaking to NDTV, IMF chief economist Gita Gopinath said "the success on the vaccination front" is one of the reasons for India's growth projections. "It is hugely commendable that with such a large population you already have 50% of population with at least one dose of the vaccine at this point. That is the source for confidence that the recovery will continue," she said.
