India scores high on reading habits
While Indian writing is being feted at the Frankfurt book fair, book lovers in India just cannot seem to get enough. Indians are one of the most voracious readers in the world, reading on an average almost 11 hours a week. This is twice as much as the Americans or the British and more than the global average of six and a half hours.
