India's inflation continues to be low while global economies are gripped in policy conflicts due to political uncertainties and shipping disruptions, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said today before presenting the Union Budget 2024. She listed four 'castes' that will be the focus of her 7th consecutive budget; poor, women, youth, and farmers. She said, "India's economic growth continues to be the shining exception, will remain so in years ahead." This is Modi 3.0 and NDA 3.0's first budget, with lots of hopes pinned on it especially by the four 'castes' mentioned by the finance minister.
