The diplomatic row between India and Canada has reached a new high after Canada's deputy foreign minister alleged that the Home Minister Amit Shah was directly involved in a campaign to target Sikh separatists on foreign soil. India has rubbished these charges, calling it baseless. India also slammed Canada for spying on its officials in what they have termed a serious breach of diplomatic norms. India today summoned a Canadian high commission official and formally lodged a protest against the Canadian government.
