On New Year's eve, Delhi is much quieter and sombre. Many have cancelled celebration plans; the Army and the Navy have called off their functions. Others, they're out on the streets holding vigils, because they don't want to forget the case of the 23-year-old medical student who was gang-raped and beaten in a moving bus in Delhi.
