After days of uncertainty on whether India will purchase discounted Russian crude oil sanctioned by the US and European countries in light of Russian invasion of Ukraine, sources have told NDTV that a deal has been struck. Indian Oil Corporation will import 3 million barrels of crude oil from a Russian oil company, a strategic move which comes amid efforts to isolate Russia from global oil trade.
