On its sixty first flight India’s workhorse rocket has been tasked by the European Space Agency to launch a very special pair of satellites that will mimic the total solar eclipse through precision formation flying. The satellites named Proba-3 will lift off from Sriharikota. NDTV’s Science Editor Pallava Bagla spoke exclusively to Prof Dipankar Banerjee, a solar physicist and Director of ISRO’s Indian Institute of Space Technology, Thiruvananthapuram to decipher the mission.
