On November 19, the Central Council of Indian medicine (CCIM) notified that postgraduate medical student of Ayurveda are allowed to independently perform specific surgical procedures which has drawn sharp criticism from doctors of modern medicine.Today, the Indian Medical Association is holding a nationwide protest against this move; While vaccines are yet to be approved for emergency use in India, authorities get ready for the vaccination program with priority lists being drawn up and storage plans; It's the sixteenth day of the farmers' protest. There has been no headway with groups saying they will intensify the protests. Agriculture minister Narendra Tomar appealed for talks; Nengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday questioned why the BJP, with all the central forces at its disposal, could not protect its party chief during his visit to Bengal and wondered if the attack on JP Nadda could have been "planned".
