India's 11,098km of coastline is protected by multiple security agencies along with the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard and the fourth edition of the pan India Coastal Defence Exercise 'Sea Vigil - 24' kicks off today to ensure that the nation is well-prepared to protect coastal assets like ports, oil rigs, single point moorings and other critical coastal infrastructure including coastal population. This year, even the Indian Army and Indian Air Force are taking part in a larger way.
