Several pictures of clean water in the Yamuna have emerged on social media with claims being made that it is the result of the lockdown and industries being shut. However, the water at Delhi's Kalindi Kunj still shows a huge amount of toxic foam, just like any other day. The toxic foam is caused due to a mix of sewage, detergents and chemicals from industrial waste. Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Jal Board vice chairman Raghav Chadha has said that the Yamuna may be cleaner now, but actual lab tests of samples are yet to be conducted and the government will share those results once they are out.
