With the weather conditions being intensely cold and foggy, patrolling at the border is tough these days. There has been a spurt in infiltration in the last two months. Seven infiltration attempts have been foiled by the Border Security Force at the International Border compared to just four bids foiled in the two months before. The BSF says militants routinely take advantage of foggy winter nights and are coming close to the International Border in the nights either to infiltrate or to digging tunnels to get into India.
