Round-the-clock, this state-level call centre in Thiruvananthapuram is handling calls for Coronavirus outbreak control and prevention. Just in 15 minutes, trained health workers, including doctors, have answered queries from at least six concerned callers. Just a few rooms away at the Directorate Of Health Services is the nodal control room - the war room with an uninterrupted flow of state wide information that expedites decision making. This model has been replicated in all 14 districts where over 40,000 health officials and workers have been mobilised on the ground. With the Kerala Chief Minister declaring Coronavirus as a state calamity, all focus is on cutting off the possible "chain of contact".
