Sachin Pilot, urged his party, the Congress, to introspect and understand why they lost this election, why every time they win they are unable to retain power in a state. "We have to consider and act upon it quickly because elections to the Lok Sabha are few months away," he said. The Congress lost to BJP in three Hindi heartland states in the just concluded state elections - Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
