IPL spot-fixing probe: Phone intercepts played out in court
In a another twist to the probe on the IPL spot-fixing scandal, the police have produced intercepts of the calls made by Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila with the alleged bookies. The police claim that they have enough to back up their claims and while phone intercepts are not accepted as evidence in court, their argument is that they had taken prior permission to produce them in court.
