Asma Khan Lone campaigned for her husband in Jammu and Kashmir this time and fiercely defended Sajad Lone's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to NDTV, she says Modi has ambitions of a statesman and if he wants to empower people of Jammu and Kashmir, there is nothing wrong in seizing the opportunity. She calls her campaign in the state "apolitical" but says she is worried about backlash in Pakistan.
