Is CAG estimate really erroneous?
So has the telecom minister Kapil Sibal got his maths right? Can an arm of the government reject the findings of the country's Auditor General even before the parliament's accounts committee given its view on it? Economist Surji Bhalla feels yes, as it is the role of the ministry or a role of anybody interested in public policy. The essence of democracy is nobody's sacrosanct, not the PM, not the CAG and not the media.
