With a Bengaluru hospital reporting a case of coronavirus reinfection, is it a genuine concern or are such cases very rare? A 27-year-old woman has been found to be the first confirmed case of COVID-19 reinfection in Bengaluru. The woman, who has no history of comorbidities, was tested Covid positive in July after she developed mild symptoms of fever and cough. She had recovered well and was discharged after being tested negative. However, in a span of one month, she has developed mild symptoms and has been confirmed to have contracted Covid infection again. Some experts have pointed out that reinfections can't be diagnosed by antibody levels and how no genomic analysis was done in this case.
