We look at where the election campaign stands right now, and specifically we turn our attention to the Election Commission that continues to come under scrutiny, with the opposition in particular alleging bias. The Election Commission suspended a poll observer who dared to check the PM's chopper in Odisha earlier this week and cited certain rules it had laid out. But we checked the rules and they don't say an SPG protectee like the PM can't be checked. A complaint against the PM for violating the model code of conduct by asking for votes in the name of the Pulwama soldiers has been pending with the Election Commission for over a week now - the PM made the comments on April 9.
