Is India's Competition Commission toothless?
The law has been amended and the final draft is ready but the notification is missing. Why does it taking the Competition Commission of India so much time to be able to enforce its laws? "The law has been there in the amended form since 2005. What we have to finalize now is the drafts of regulations for the implementations of regulations," says Amitabh Kumar, Director General, Competition Commission of India.
