Is It All Over For Uddhav Thackeray?
More MLAs from Shiv Sena reach Guwahati in support of rebel leader Eknath Shinde. It's absolutely clear that the Maharashtra crisis has deepened. Earlier today, there was a show of strength, a video showing that Mr Shinde had the support of 37 MLAs. In other words, there is clear indication that Mr Shinde is in a position to split the party, without getting into trouble with the anti-defection law. The bottom line is that the BJP is going to be a key factor going forward. Will the Shinde faction go with the BJP? Will Uddhav Thackeray ally with the BJP? One way or another, a floor test seems imminent.
