Is Manmohan Singh now a liability for Congress?
With intense speculation about a deep rift between the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi over the two union ministers forced to resign last week, the Congress issued a statement saying this is rumour and disinformation and that there is no doubt Manmohan Singh will remain PM till 2014. Despite that statement, the national capital has been abuzz with reports of a divide with Congress leaders themselves leaking stories about how Sonia Gandhi was the one who literally arm twisted the PM into letting go of Ashwani Kumar and Pawan Bansal.
