The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres told the Security Council on Tuesday that, "Where wars rage, women suffer." A new United Nations Secretary-General report on women, peace and security coincided with the Un Security Council Open Debate. According to the UN, more than 600 million women and girls lived in conflict-affected countries in 2022.
