The Indian Women's Hockey team returned to India on December 19 after winning the FIH Nations Cup. With the win, the team has also qualified for the FIH Pro League for 2023-2024. On Saturday, India defeated Spain by 1-0 and secured their spot in the 2023-24 FIH Pro League. Savita Punia, captain of the Indian Women's Hockey team, said, "It feels great". We knew the tournament was significant for us. Pro League is important because we played last year and know the kind of improvement we have made after playing with top teams. So we had just one target. Before that, Asian Games is important for us."
