Vasundhara Raje's secret support to Lalit Modi is "outrageous" and there is no other option for her than to resign, said Congress general secretary in an interview to NDTV. He questioned the Prime Minister's silence and pointed to Gautam Adani's bid for an IPL franchise to draw a "close connection between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lalit Modi and a person who is very close to Narendra Modi in Gujarat who was doing the bidding for this team". He said, "Lalit Modi was supporting the bidding by the Ahmedabad team to be included in the IPL. At that time Mr Narendra Modi was the President of Gujarat Cricket Association." Now, he said, "Lalit Modi is feeling very disappointed that the party he supported throughout has suddenly washed their hands off him."
