It's Vasundhara after Sushma: Can BJP afford to defend Lalit Modi's 'cheerleaders' within?

In the documents leaked by Lalit Modi's team is an August 2011 statement purportedly made by then Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Vasundhara Raje to UK authorities supporting immigration application of Lalit Modi. With two of its senior leaders in the midst of the snowballing controversy, we ask: can the BJP afford to defend Lalit Modi's 'cheerleaders' in the party? Is the BJP embarrassed or is it cutting the anti-PM leaders down to size? Also on the show, an exclusive interview with Digvijaya Singh who alleges that the BJP has been soft on Lalit Modi because of his closeness with the Prime Minister as Mr Modi had supported Adani's IPL bid.

'Is this Vasundhara Raje's nationalism?' Digvijaya Singh on Rajasthan Chief Minister's 'secret' support for Lalit Modi

Vasundhara Raje's secret support to Lalit Modi is "outrageous" and there is no other option for her than to resign, said Congress general secretary in an interview to NDTV. He questioned the Prime Minister's silence and pointed to Gautam Adani's bid for an IPL franchise to draw a "close connection between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lalit Modi and a person who is very close to Narendra Modi in Gujarat who was doing the bidding for this team". He said, "Lalit Modi was supporting the bidding by the Ahmedabad team to be included in the IPL. At that time Mr Narendra Modi was the President of Gujarat Cricket Association." Now, he said, "Lalit Modi is feeling very disappointed that the party he supported throughout has suddenly washed their hands off him."
